Series II: It's a Black Thang is a collection of choreographed works performed by the dancers of Muse Contemporary Dance Theatre.  Intentionally and truthfully titled It's a Black Thang, Season II's project was designed to place emphasis on the celebration of the Black body.  Through conversation and dissection amongst the choreographers, it was discovered that the celebration of the Black body is a prism of experiences, legacy, and culture.  In this series, through the art of dance, the audience is present with 4 facets of the aforementioned — individuality, grief, pride, and faith.  Series II is an annual multi-component media project, released throughout Black History Month, commissioned by Courtney Holland, the Artistic Director of Muse Contemporary Dance Theatre.
